I just bought this CD and enjoyed all the tunes. After buying the CD I attended a trumpet clinic he gave at Scottsdale Community College, Scottsdale, Arizona. The following night I attended the concert with jazz ensembles he was featured with. He is the most powerful and versatile jazz trumpet I have ever heard. His intonation is great, exceptionally beautiful tone, incredible technique and his ability to play with total control in the upper register is the best I have ever heard.
He plays with exceptional control with a wide range. He has great musical ideas in his improvisations.
I highly recommend this album especially for people who enjoy hearing trumpet solos.
